Bugs Infest Stamford, CT PD Station

Posted on August 6, 2009 with 2 Comments

It seems like these unidentified “bugs” are present because of birds on the roof. 10 officers claim to have bites on their bodies.

The union says the city did bring in an exterminator but has refused to bring a doctor in to test officers for health problems.

The bugs must be identified to ensure proper treatment. Its imperative that the buildings management used Integrated Pest Management techniques to prevent the birds from landing on the roof. Channel 8 news reported first on this issue.

Agreed, most birds and pests should be left alone as they are part of nature. However, when these animals/ pests become a threat to human well being, control measures should be implemented.
