Looking for a last minute Halloween costume? Be a bed bug! Just cover yourself in brown from head to toe. All you need are brown pants or leggings and a t-shirt. Then all you need is a few pipe cleaners that you can cover with aluminum and construction paper to use as antennas and hot glue them to a brown hat or headband. For a finishing touch you can even decorate a long piece of thick cardboard to make it look like a bed and bring it along with you!
If you or someone you know is really crafty, you can buy some fabrice and make one like this!
One of our employees here at JP McHale Pest management recently took a trip across the country to San Fransisco, CA. While there, they spotted a candy store with some interesting candies. The employee purchased two of the many varieties that they had. These are real, and we haven’t tried them yet. The first ingridient is either larvae or crickets.
While browsing around YouTube today our staff here at JP McHale found a funny video about bed bugs that was made by an animation company called Next Media Animation. This animation company is responsible for animating major news stories in a humorous way. While the narrator is not speaking English, there are subtitles. Let us know what you think of this in the comments section!
When JP McHale goes out for a service, we love to ride around in our white trucks! If you ever see one on roads or at a house in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange, Connecticut, or New Jersey take a picture and email or tweet me and JP McHale will send you a free gift!
A blog from the Wall Street Journal had a very interesting post a few days ago. One artist is making bed bug street art! The blog post interviews the artist and asks questions including why he decided to have his art focus on bed bugs. Check it out!
Well not really. As many of you may have heard, Florida is experiencing a cold front, which put temperatures into the 40’s. This has made it uncomfortable for many residents because they are used to the high 60’s. The chance of below freezing temperatures worries citrus growers. If the temperatures stay cold, the $6.5 billion dollar orange market could be wiped out for the season.
What else is happening because of the weather? Iguanas appear to be dropping dead out of trees! When the weather gets cold, Iguanas temporarily become paralyzed, and look frozen. The video below shows a 3 ½ year old girl going around her yard picking these Iguanas up and relocating them out of their yard. These reptiles feed off of many plants, especially in gardens. Check out the video below!
We came across this funny prank on Pest Management Professional Magazine editor’s blog “Keeping it Simple” by Pete Grasso. Please keep in mind all of this is a prank, and methods these actors use are not real.
